Certification Options

CPR Certification: CPR certification through the American Red Cross is valid for 1 year; through the American Heart Association, AAOS Emergency Care & Safety Institute and the National Safety Council the validation period is 2 years. However, regardless of these differences, many licensures, regulatory agencies, and requirements of employment dictate annual refreshers. In fact, participation in review sessions should occur at least every 6 months in order to maintain proficiency.

First Aid Certification: This is typically valid for 3 years (if, indeed, official certification is needed or desired). However, again, regulations and licensures may decrease this timeline to 2 years.

CPR Recertification Programs: For groups of people who have taken CPR previously and thus can be successful with a somewhat abbreviated review format in order to successfully test and recertify

CPR Challenge Opportunities: For people who are proficient in their CPR skills and have maintained certification for a number of years, thereby being able to demonstrate their skills and pass the written test without the need for a formal review.

Continuing Education Credits: Licensing agencies typically recognize con ed hours for many of our programs.

EMS Licensure: State of NH & National Registry licensure is required to practice as a First Responder or an EMT in New Hampshire. While examinations for these licensures is not provided within the context of these courses, our programs exceed the Department of Transportation’s requirements; successful course completion provides participants with the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need to then enter into, and do well in the exam process.
