Phylis Manning

Fourteen years ago, Phylis began developing, marketing, & providing Health & Safety Education as the Worksite Coordinator at the American Red Cross NH West Chapter. She continued doing that until 1995 when she went into business for herself as Phylis M Manning & Associates; therein the company’s independent status allowed her group of facilitators to expand their programming in numerous directions. In 2003 Phylis has changed the company name to Manning Emergency Educators, to better reflect all that we are now doing.

In addition to teaching & managing MEEI, Phylis is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Physical Education Department at Keene State College. Phylis also holds a Bachelors Degree in Independent Concentration from the University of Ma, Amherst.  She is a NH Dept of Safety, Bureau of EMS Instructor/Coordinator, and a BLS Practical Examination Evaluator.

In her time away from teaching, Phylis is an EMT Intermediate with the all-volunteer Marl Harris Ambulance Squad and with Rogers Rangers Emergency Services.

Originally from the Boston area, Phylis has lived in the same house in Marlborough with her husband since 1978, raising 3 wonderful (now adult) children, 2 dogs and a few cats along the way.

Ellen Hiebert

Ellen HiebertAlthough she wasn't born in NH, Ellen truly feels she is native. She moved here in 1989 looking for something new which she easily found. Ellen loves NH, Keene and teaching . She has a strong background in education; an MS in Special Education as well as 15 years experience teaching various courses, such as CPR, FA, Babysitting and others. When she is not teaching for MEEI; she can be found at home doing all those boring things necessary to run a household with a husband and 2 children. When she has any free time, Ellen usually spends it hiking, camping, gardening, reading or ice-skating and snow-shoeing in the winter.

Sandy Wiggin

Sandy is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Vermont. She has practiced mostly pediatric nursing for thirty-six years.
She became a Red Cross CPR and First Aid instructor in July of 1990, teaching courses through the local chapter, with Phylis M Manning & Associates, and now with MEEI. She has also taught the Basic Aid Training courses designed for fourth graders and Babysitter’s Training in various schools throughout the Monadnock Region. Sandy lives in Spofford, New Hampshire with her family.
